    We decided to try this restaurant after reading the Yelp reviews, and are glad we did. The place is charming and quiet, which was nice after a full day of sightseeing.

    We ordered the prosciutto with melon, seafood pasta, steak, and creme caramel. They were all great. I especially enjoyed the pasta, which was flavorful and had just the right amount of saltiness. The restaurants we had visitors prior to this in Rome were good, but both my husband and I found the pastas to be a bit too salty. Not the case with Il Corsaro. We saw some people ordering the grilled fish of the day, which looked great but we didn't have room in our stomachs for... Would come back again.

    I loved the food. Close to my hotel!!! Not crowded at all. Even though it's in the city the seafood was fresh. Had the calamari and the fried shrimp it's was good. I would recommend it to everyone

    We were in Rome late at night and looking for a good place to eat close to our hotel. Fortunately they took us without reservation. We are happy we choose this. Delicious octopus al oil. Pasta carbonara and linguini with mussels which we were craving... delicious !!! Armando the manager was very nice and helpful . We recommend this place. T

    What a fantastic evening! We loved being out of the tourist areas and closer to authentic neighborhoods and authentic cuisine. As we waited for our dinners, the efficient and accommodating waiter brought us a plate of my favorite starter -anchovies marinated in lemon.  So good! Then come the mains. My sole was incredibly fresh and delicious. The marinated veggies were a perfect counterpoint to my buttery sole. Steve loved his housemade pasta and tiramisu. Terrific spot. We are so happy we found this place!

    Staff was friendly, service was great, and the food was good too! I was very berry happy with my carbonara ... though I found it funny that I got really good carbonara at a fish restaurant, but hey, I was a very happy girl at the end of my meal. The panna cotta was yum also. I'd go back if in town again.
